Following last year initiative, Amundi Technology participated in 2022 to the restoration of French forest together with Reforest'Action.
Instead of sending gifts to our clients and to replace goodies at the AM Tech Day event organized by l'AGEFI, Amundi Technology planted 1 200 trees in the Puy-de-Dôme department in France. The plantation will enable the restoration of the forest which has been impacted by severe snowfalls in winter 2020.
The project consists of filling in the damage by introducing other species in order to enhance the biodiversity of the site and its landscape aspect. Softwood species will be used to diversify the mature stand in patches, while hardwood species will be introduced along the roadside. Restored, the forest can continue to provide a multitude of ecosystem services and contribute to the fight against global warming through the storage of carbon by the trees.
This plantation is a continuation of the one carried in 2021, where Amundi Technology planted 1 650 trees in the Loir et Cher department.
